Dont See me!
Yesterday, in the SanDiego Shiva Vishnu temple, they had a talent show for the kids.
Kids aged from 3 to 12, can show their talent on the stage. (Sing, dance, story telling, poetry reciting etc)
The younger the kids, the funnier their talent was. The show was about an hour and a half. Cant imagine, how fast the time went by. One of the ten year old, converted "Jingle bells" song to praise lord krishna". He wrote the poem it seems (His parents told that)
One of the three year old, came to say some sloka. Being punctual, I happened to sit, kinda close to the stage. (Acutally, all of the spectators were sitting on the floor, where the stage is one feet high, 10x10 table, so Imagine how close we will be)
The three year old, came happily to the center of the stage. After looking at the audience, he was so scared. Although, he didnt leave.. he was quite, looking at all. Suddenly, he pointed his hand at me and said "You!" (ME: WHAT!#^*#$ ME ?) "Dont see me!" (Although, everybody was laughing.. I didnt know what to do.. avoided the eye-contact). For whole two minutes.. he was just pointing at different people.. "Dont see me!.", "You! dont see me!". The parents came for the rescue. The mom, carried him and he started saying the sloka (Ofcourse, not looking at the audience!.) He had the standing ovation and claps for a long time.
The other one, came to the stage (5 year old) and she closed her eyes tightly and started singing some song on krishna. Her dad, sitting by the side.. and the song went by.. I was watching.. she slowly relaxed her eyes.. then peeked the audience.. and gently opened her eyes (singing all the while and holding her Dads hand, tightly) and finished the whole song and started jumping on the stage.
You cant compare the happiness of the parents with anything, as soon as they are done. The proud parents hugging and kissing, with a very big smile.. encouraging.. etc etc. I wish, I could be there, when keerthana, riya, perform their first act on the stage (and almost all the girl kids were running toward their daddy and boy kids toward their mom!)

Yeah, it's really wonderful to see tots do that.
It really brings the moonlight right into their eyes shining away to glory. Their joy of accomplishment knows no bounds, and they indeed look so delectable...
I can imagine how sweet they must have looked. I had an experience once. One of my notorious neices was really excited because I was coming to watch her perform as a sunflower in a song. She climbs onto the stage, and she is singing. Midway through the song, she spots me, and waves at me really hard!!! She even mouthed : "Hi Saumya chitthi!" - Luckily, it wasn't loud enough to be heard!!!!
It is always fun to watch children perform as they exude innocence and perform from their heart.

That is very much true. I wish we retained atleast some portion of our innocence...

nice :) they do the darnest and the funniest things when u are not looking.. They can be the ultimate.
So sweet... my 5 year old niece proudly announced that she was gonna be singing at the morning prayer in the school.. Havent asked her how it went :)
